First Haircut...

I've been putting it off for awhile now (Owen is almost two...) but I think it's about time for the first haircut. What do ya'll think? You know it's bad when your baby gets in the bathtub and says "spike it, Momma, spike it".

I know, I know...

I know that someone is going to get tired, sooner or later, of seeing these cute pics of Owen...but I don't care--this blog is for my amusement anyway I think and I can't help but post them...I love to see this baby enjoying himself! And just for those who don't know--I am very proud of Owen--his teacher reports that he "went potty" today. He has not done it for me yet, but that's a start!

Sweet, Sweet Summertime....

Okay, I don't think it's officially summer yet but it's been "hot as blue blazes" (my Granny used to say that) around here lately and we are taking full advantage. I filled up Owen's turtle pool today and allowed him to spray me with the water hose, which he thinks if very funny. Aunt Ashley also came for a visit so we took the opportunity for photos (she always likes for hers to be in black and white...). Owen loves his Aunt Ashley very much!

A Happy Mother's Day

This past weekend was a great Mother's Day weekend. First of all, thanks to my hubby for a Friday night off--Christy and I had fun at Chili's (we ate chips and salsa for a whole hour while we were waiting on our entrees) and we managed to squeeze in a trip to Target also...may not seem like much to some, but for a working mom, it was a fun night.

Sunday was a day for Nana and Granna. As you can see from the photos though, the day was really about Owen and spending time outside, which is typical and fine with all of the moms in our family....

Boys and Their Toys...

What is it with men and toys anway? All I want is a nap! I have lost the love of my two favorite men to a boat--yes, a boat. As you can see from the photos below, they both love it. Daniel is proud of his new toy and I'm proud for him--he's worked a ton of overtime to get it. :)





And if it's not boats, it's television....Owen and Dad watching what I'm sure was a fishing show....

Dressing and Driving

Sometimes I forget how much Owen can do for himself because I spend so much time doing things for him. As you all can see, he is learning to undress himself. We took a vacation day last week and had a fun lunch at Coolidge Park with Granna. Here are some pics of the park and of Owen getting out of his pajamas to get dressed before we went. He ALMOST got that shirt off.

Owen has also decided that he likes to "drive it", which is what he yells whenever Daddy pulls up in his truck. This kid is smart. He knows that if he begs enough, Dad will take him "driving" through the neigborhood. Hats off to Daniel for spending quality time with his little guy!

Growing Owen...

You know it's bad when you only blog after holidays! That should be an indication that the Bryant's are just too busy and need to slow down. So for anyone who is interested, here's what has been happening lately...the weather has gotten warmer and thank goodness because all Owen wants to do is stay outside, which is fine with me. We set up our new sand and water table (and had a small picnic--see the peanut butter face) and have also been riding our John Deere tractor. Owen's favorite thing to do, however, is to ride the lawnmower, which he generally just refers to as a "ride it". :) Here are some pics...
